Section 10: Description of Proposed Modules The following are the description of the proposed modules: Oracle General LedgerTM Oracle General Ledger is a comprehensive financial management solution that dramatically enhances financial controls, data collection, and financial reporting throughout your enterprise. Oracle General Ledger also performs automatic currency conversion for your foreign currency journals. And, with Mass Allocations, you can automate your cost allocations quickly and accurately. Effective Budgeting You have powerful budgetary controls with Oracle General Ledger. You can do top-down, bottom-up, or middle-out budgeting. You can upload your budgets into Oracle General Ledger from a spread-sheet, or automatically create them using formula journals. You can also password-protect your budgets against unauthorised access, and set limits for each of your departments. Multicurrency Accounting Oracle General Ledger is a global accounting solution that supports currency conversion, translation, and revaluation in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. You can elect the current/non- current, monetary/non-monetary, or current-rate methods for translating balance sheet accounts. Timely Reporting You can generate the reports you need when you need them. With the Financial Statement Generator, you can define financial reports such as balance sheets, income statements, and expense reports in minutes, without programming.
